A Rare Find
Kapiti Coast isn't known as “Nature Coast” for
nothing. In addition to numerous species of rare and
endangered birds, Kapiti offers some exceptional
examples of local culinary talent. This internationally
known sanctuary and marine wildlife reserve is open
for curious nature lovers who want to explore. Hop
aboard a ferry and spend the day (or weekend)
making friends with birds, watching dolphins leap from
the sea and relaxing on the large deck, which
overlooks the ocean. Virtually the only island in the
world that is totally predator-free, Kapiti Island is truly
remarkable.
